Hpbio Tunneling Devices are metal rods that atraumatically pierce tissues. They are used to create a subcutaneous path for the placement of a peritoneal catheter, between the cervical region and the peritoneal cavity, in the procedure of implanting a Ventricle-peritoneal Hydrocephalus Shunt (VPS) system.
The Peritoneal Catheter Passer is the indicated option for procedures with a catheter supplied separately. The Unishunt VPS Catheter Passer is the indicated option for procedures with a peritoneal catheter pre-attached to a hydrocephalus valve – unishunt system. Both are supplied sterilized by ETO and packaged in a double envelope of surgical grade paper.
The Reusable Catheter Passser, supplied non-sterile, is the most economical option for use in various procedures.
All models are available in Infantile (35 or 50 cm) or Adult (65 or 80 cm) sizes.
